    Stuart does sound design and foley recording for film media. The above piece is a redubbing of the sound for an except of the film Nostalghia by Andrei Tarkovsky. The idea was to create a surreal and spooky feeling through the use of sound, silence and unexpected reverb. The interplay between dark and light in the film is also mirrored in the sound design.

    Stuart is also involved in various live coding sound projects with the group Shift->Enter. Live coding uses the TidalCycles language based on Haskell to manipulate and create sound like through coding.
